How to Have the Ideal All Girls Weekend in Lanzarote

When you are balancing a busy work and home life, sometimes you just don’t get the time to catch up with your girlfriends. Sometimes you’re too tired and want to put your feet up, and when you do find the time to get together, it’s often a quick coffee.

That’s why you should consider setting aside a few  days for yourself, spending some time with your besties, on all girls weekend in Lanzarote. What better way to enjoy some fun, relaxation and adventure? Here’s how you should go about it.

Start with the Lanzarote beaches

The golden beaches of Lanzarote are the place to get your all-girls weekend under way and leave all the stresses of modern life behind for a couple of days. And one of the best beaches to do it is Playa Blanca. Boasting a Blue Flag and clear waters, cleanliness isn’t an issue on this relaxing, well-kept beach. And thanks to the beach’s central location, there are loads of bars around where you can grab something to eat or treat yourself to a cheeky cocktail. Which brings us to our next point…

Go for cocktails with the girls

It just wouldn’t be a girls weekend if you didn’t squeeze in a few cocktails along the way. At La Delicatezza, in the resort of Puerto del Carmen, the staff serve the cocktails with a flair, charm and expertise reminiscent of Hollywood classic ‘Cocktail’. Whether it’s a dry Martini or a pina colada the final product will be as smooth as the bar you’re drinking it in.

Go sailing

Why not indulge in that little bit of extravagance while you’re in Lanzarote? Take out a yacht – and bring a few bottles of champagne on ice – or hop aboard the ferry and sail to some of the nearby islands, or even just to other parts of the Lanzarote coast.

You can soak up some extra sunshine on the secluded island of La Graciosa – it’ll almost as if you have the beach to yourselves. Alternatively, set sail to the Canary Island of Fuerteventura, which is renowned for its surfing opportunities. This is definitely the island to try water sports if you are feeling adventurous!

Take in the scenery

We’re not talking about booking your standard coach tour, taking snapshots from the window, no. A girls getaway means letting your hair down and doing something a little bit more out of the ordinary, so how about going on a 4×4 for a tour of the island – or even a camel ride?

Pack a camera and depart from popular parts of Lanzarote, such as Puerto del Carmen or Puerto Calero, for Tahiche, where a 4×4 jeep will be waiting for you to climb aboard. On the way, you’ll pass glorious bays, quaint villages and inspiring volcanic landscapes while you breathe in the island air from your open-top vehicle. Perfect those selfie-taking skills that will come in handy when you’re documenting this trip for your Instagram followers!

Lanzarote’s welcoming bars, beaches and scenery create a flawless setup to let you get away with your girls for the weekend, or any length of time for that matter. Organise a reunion with your friends and bring back the good times with a Falcon holiday to Lanzarote. We need a little me time now and then, after all.
